1Information we collect

Account and profile information

  • Email address (including .edu verification where required)
  • Basic account identifiers (user ID) and authentication/session data
  • Optional profile details you provide

Listing and booking information

  • Spot listing details (photos, descriptions, rules, access instructions)
  • Booking dates, duration, pricing snapshot, booking status
  • Messages and support requests you send through the Service

Payments

Payments are processed by third-party processors (e.g., Stripe). We receive transaction-related data such as payment status, amount, and processor identifiers. We do not store full payment card numbers.

Location information

Listings may include location data. For safety and privacy, we may show approximate ("blurred") locations publicly and reveal more precise location/access details after booking confirmation.

Device and usage data

  • Log data (IP address, browser type, pages viewed, timestamps, error logs)
  • Cookie/local storage data (for session/auth and site functionality)

2How we use information

  • Provide and operate the Service (listings, bookings, checkout, confirmations)
  • Process payments and payouts; prevent fraud and abuse
  • Maintain marketplace safety (verification, moderation, dispute handling)
  • Customer support and communications (including transactional emails)
  • Improve product performance, reliability, and user experience
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms

3How we share information

We share information in the following situations:

With other users (marketplace sharing)

  • Public listing details you choose to publish (e.g., photos, description, approximate location)
  • After a booking is confirmed, we may share additional details needed to complete the booking (e.g., access instructions and more precise location details)

With service providers

We use third-party vendors to run core features (for example: authentication, payments, maps, and transactional email). These vendors process data on our behalf consistent with their role in providing the Service.

For legal and safety reasons

  • To comply with law, regulation, legal process, or governmental requests
  • To protect the rights, safety, and security of Parqlo, users, or the public
  • To investigate and enforce policy/terms violations

Business transfers

If Parqlo is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

4Data retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain security. Retention periods vary based on data type and legal requirements.

6Your choices and rights

  • You may update certain profile information in your account settings (if available).
  • You may request deletion of your account, subject to legal/operational retention requirements.

7Children's privacy

Parqlo is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll take reasonable steps to notify you. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
