Cancellation Policy
What happens when plans change — for renters and hosts.
1For renters
Before your booking starts
If you cancel before your booking start date, your refund depends on how far in advance you cancel. "Total" means the full amount charged (base price + service fee).
Refunds are calculated based on amounts actually paid at the time of cancellation and the unused portion of the booking.
If something goes wrong during your booking
If you can't access the spot, it's significantly different from the listing, or there's a safety issue — report it within 3 hours of discovery, ideally before leaving your vehicle overnight. We'll investigate and issue a prorated refund of total for unused days if the issue is verified.
Unused days are calculated from the time the issue is reported and verified, based on calendar days. If an issue is verified after the booking day has started, that day may be treated as used (non-refundable) unless the spot was unusable from the start of that day.
Verification may include photos, messages, property signage, or other evidence we reasonably request.
Severe issues (full refund of total)
In cases where the spot is fundamentally unusable, you may receive a full refund of total for the entire booking:
- Access denied from the start (gate code wrong, spot blocked, tow risk)
- Material misrepresentation (wrong address/spot type, undisclosed restrictions)
- Fraud or unauthorized listing
- Safety issue forcing you to leave immediately
Long bookings (30+ days)
If a long-term booking is cancelled mid-stay due to a verified issue, you'll receive a prorated refund of total for unused days and future payout installments will stop.
2For hosts
If you need to cancel a confirmed booking, contact us as soon as possible. Cancelling on renters — especially last-minute — damages trust in the marketplace.
Repeated host cancellations may result in listing removal or account restrictions.
3How refunds work
- Refunds go back to your original payment method
- Processing typically takes 5–10 business days (depends on your bank/card issuer)
- Service fees are included in the refund percentage (e.g., 100% refund of total includes the service fee)
4Disputes
If you disagree with a cancellation or refund decision, contact support. We review disputes case-by-case and aim to be fair to both parties.
Final decisions on refunds and disputes are made consistent with this policy (and where required by law).
Good to know
- • Pending bookings that expire (payment not completed) are automatically cancelled — no refund needed since no charge occurred.
- • We reserve the right to issue refunds in cases of fraud, safety concerns, or policy violations.
- • Refunds and dispute outcomes may vary where required by law.
